STOCKTON, Calif. (AP) — Police say four people are dead in an apparent murder-suicide in California.
Stockton police say they found a 64-year-old woman shot to death Monday afternoon at her home near the University of the Pacific.
A minivan spotted leaving the scene was located minutes later at an upscale retirement home, where police found an 88-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man — the suspected gunman — dead from gunshot wounds inside a room.
Police say a woman was then found in the back of the minivan.
The Record of Stockton reports (http://bit.ly/Uvux7V) that firefighters tried to resuscitate her before covering her with a tarp.
The victims have not been identified, and police have not disclosed a possible motive for the killings.
