Official: Body of missing NJ girl believed found

CLAYTON, N.J. (AP) — Officials say a body has been found and preliminarily identified as that of the 12-year-old New Jersey girl missing since the weekend.

Bernie Weisenfeld, spokesman for the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office, says in a statement early Tuesday that the body of a female was found in a recycling container in Clayton at about 10 p.m. Monday.

Autumn Pasquale was reported missing from her Clayton home Saturday night and had been the subject of a large search over two days.

Officials did not say where the body was found.
