TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) — Authorities say an 18-year-old student is expected to be in court on charges that he assaulted several students and police officers at a University of Toledo campus residence hall.

Court documents say first-year student JaVonn Morgan was charged with one count of felonious assault and two counts of assault following the disturbance early Monday at the Academic House.

Witnesses told police that a man went into the residence hall and assaulted a desk worker, then started a fight with several other men there. Officers said they were assaulted when they tried to detain him. Three officers were taken to a hospital, one with a concussion.

Court documents did not list an attorney for Morgan.
