VALLEJO, Calif. (AP) — Authorities have released the name of a Northern California man who was shot and killed by police in what investigators are describing as a naked rampage involving two men who set their own house on fire.

Vallejo police Lt. Lee Horton said Monday that police shot and killed 29-year-old Jeremiah Moore early Sunday after Moore put a loaded rifle to an officer's stomach.

Horton says investigators suspect Moore and 28-year-old Jason Jessie may have been taking hallucinogenic drugs. Results from toxicology tests are pending.

Police say Moore was shot after officers responded to calls of two naked men arguing, breaking car windows and trying to set their house on fire.

Jessie was arrested on suspicion of battery on a police officer and obstructing an officer.

Family and friends say the men's alleged behavior was out of character.
