CANTON, Ohio (AP) — The former managing editor of the Arizona Daily Star has been named executive editor at The Repository in northeast Ohio.
Therese D. Hayt started work Monday at the newspaper in Canton.
The 56-year-old Hayt has been in journalism for three decades. In addition to the newspaper in Tucson, Ariz., she previously worked at Sports Illustrated, the San Diego Union, Newsday and the Orlando Sentinel.
She succeeds Don Detore, who resigned to pursue other interests.
The Repository (http://bit.ly/TmlwbP) is a Gatehouse Media publication with a circulation of about 54,000 on weekdays and 68,000 on Sundays.
