COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — The state of Ohio hopes to sell two dozen four-wheel drive trucks and a 27-foot boat at an auction of surplus state property.
The Saturday auction at the General Services Division headquarters of the Ohio Department of Administrative Services in Columbus also includes vans, SUVs, cars, buses and other trucks. A 27-foot Boston Whaler Guardian boat is one of several boats for sale.
State agencies declare property as surplus because it is damaged or at the end of its life cycle for government use. Property seized by law enforcement officials also may be included.
All vehicles are sold as-is with no warranties and must be paid for the day of the auction.
Miscellaneous property and vehicle auctions generated more than $2.5 million last fiscal year for the state.
