NILES, Ohio (AP) — Police say a 2-year-old boy who was in a car when it was apparently stolen has been found safe in northeast Ohio, and a suspect is in custody.

An alert was issued late Thursday night after the pajama-clad boy went missing in Niles, about 55 miles southeast of Cleveland. The toddler was found early Friday morning.

WKBN-TV in Youngstown (http://bit.ly/RlMVxZ ) reports police spotted and stopped the stolen vehicle in nearby Lordstown. The boy was unharmed.

The station says the unidentified theft suspect was taken to a county jail. There was no immediate word on any charges.
