CINCINNATI (AP) — A couple who got married in front of Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati hopes their life together turns out better than the day's playoff game did for their beloved Reds.
Greg Barhorst and Wendy Riddell — clad in Cincinnati Reds t-shirts — tied the knot Wednesday morning in front of the downtown ballpark. Hours later, the San Francisco Giants beat the Reds 8-3 to even their NL division series at 2-all.
WCPO-TV (http://bit.ly/ULdaRz ) reports that the couple describes themselves as "very casual people" and suggested that a wedding in front of Great American Ball Park had more significance than any other venue for them. Riddell said their shared love of the Reds helped bring them together in the beginning.
