RIVERSIDE, Calif. (AP) — A Riverside County man is charged with molesting two teenage girls by claiming he was giving them pregnancy tests.

The Riverside Press-Enterprise (http://bit.ly/R6w12B ) says Thomas Patrick Hayden of Mead Valley is charged with rape and four other felonies involving two girls who lived on his property.

Court records state that the girls, ages 16 and 17, said the 60-year-old fondled them and coerced them into sex acts under the pretense that he was giving them pregnancy tests or that it was "God's will."

The father of five and his wife, Sandra Hayden, also face child endangerment charges involving alleged filthy conditions.

Hayden, who has taken in children in need over the years, says he's innocent. He and his wife had a brief court hearing Tuesday and are free on bail.
