eBay removes movie shooting suspect Halloween mask

DENVER (AP) — Internet company eBay has canceled the sale of a Halloween mask of Colorado movie theater shooting suspect James Holmes.

The unidentified seller was seeking hundreds of dollars for the mask depicting Holmes with his orange-red hair after he was arrested following the deadly shooting at the July 20 showing of a Batman movie.

The company said the listing was removed Friday because it did not comply with its policy barring offensive materials.

"Out of respect for victims of violent crimes, eBay does not allow listings that attempt to profit from human tragedy or suffering," the company said.
