ORIENT, Ohio (AP) — Authorities say an Ohio man convicted of sex crimes against children has committed suicide at the state prison reception center.

The Dayton Daily News (http://bit.ly/SYKoLq ) reports that William Rose died at the reception center outside Columbus on Tuesday, but there were no details provided about how it happened.

The 44-year-old Rose was on his way to prison to serve a 27-year sentence for sex crimes against three children. He was sentenced Friday in Shelby County, north of Dayton.

He was initially arrested May 29 and accused of videotaping a sexual encounter with a 12-year-old girl.
