SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) — More than 1,000 pounds of unused prescription drugs have been collected across southeast Georgia.

Law enforcement officials held a collection effort Saturday so resident could clean out their medicine cabinets. Authorities said the goal was to prevent prescription drugs from falling into the wrong hands.
