Board suspends doctor accused of sexual misconduct

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — The Iowa Board of Medicine has suspended a Hampton doctor accused of sexual misconduct.

The Des Moines Register reports (http://dmreg.co/QaVd7L ) the board took the action Tuesday against 39-year-old Dr. Brian J. Hansen, who has been practicing emergency medicine in Webster City, Charles City and Fairfield.

Hansen is alleged to have pressured women to have sex with him, including while he was providing medical care.

The board suspended Hansen's license pending an Oct. 10 hearing.

Des Moines lawyer Michael Sellers, who is representing Hansen, declined to comment.
