VERO BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Authorities say a surfer was bit on the arm by a shark off Florida's east coast.

Indian River County Fire Rescue reports that the 21-year-old man had been surfing Tuesday afternoon at Sebastian Inlet State Park when the shark got him. The man was able to get to his vehicle and start driving toward a fire station. He also called 911 on the way.
