Ohio school shooting suspect moved to adult jail

CHARDON, Ohio (AP) — An Ohio teenager who has pleaded not guilty to fatally shooting three students and wounding three others at a high school has been transferred from a juvenile detention center to an adult jail now that he has turned 18.

The News-Herald in Willoughby (http://bit.ly/Q3WBJk ) reports that T.J. Lane was transferred to the Geauga County Safety Center from the Portage-Geauga Juvenile Detention Center in Ravenna on Monday. He turned 18 on Sept. 19.

Lane is being tried as an adult and faces a maximum penalty of life in prison without parole if convicted of the shootings Feb. 27 in the Chardon High School cafeteria.
