SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (AP) — Authorities say an Ohio sheriff's deputy was injured after a suspect in a high-speed chase rammed his cruiser.

The Clark County Sheriff's Office said it happened Sunday evening near Springfield. Deputies say a suspect led them on a high-speed chase through four counties before he ran over "stop sticks" and intentionally crashed into the cruiser.

The Springfield News-Sun (http://bit.ly/PdlAdI ) reports that Sgt. Steve Elliott and the suspect were taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said the suspect, Shane Stokes, was wanted on several felony warrants. Authorities did not release details on how the pursuit began.
