Monday September 24, 2012 12:45 PM

LANSING, Mich. (AP) — State police in Michigan are partnering with the Drug Enforcement Administration and other local law enforcement agencies for National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.

The aim of Saturday's event is to provide a way for people to dispose of unwanted and unused prescription drugs. Drop spots will include 29 state police posts.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. State police say the service is free and anonymous, and drugs may be dropped off without questions.
