10:30 - 11:30 a.m. TIVERTON — Chafee participates in a tour of a new bridge that is beginning to carry traffic from state routes 24 and 138 over the Sakonnet River. 5 - 6:45 p.m. PROVIDENCE — Chafee, who is a member of the Rhode Island Economic Development Corp.'s board of directors, and the chief operating officer of Waterson Terminal Services LLC, Bruce Waterson, attend a board meeting where members will vote on amendments to allow the agency to purchase two barge-mounted cranes using funding from a $10.5-million Transportation Investments Generating Economic Recovery grant, or TIGER II grant, for efforts to renovate the Port of Providence.
