LANSING, Mich. (AP) — The Michigan Association of Community Mental Health Boards is auctioning artwork from its statewide "Traveling Art Show II."

The auction features a new online bidding system designed to make things easier for buyers. It replaces traditional bid sheets and allows guests to browse the entire catalog online, as well as place bids online. There's also a mobile application so people can bid from a smartphone.

The "Traveling Art show II" follows up on a show called "Creative Minds, Changing Minds," which took place from 2007-2009.

It features paintings, drawings, photos and textile artwork crafted by people who use community mental health services. The goal is to demonstrate the arts' healing potential and fight stigmas of mental illness, developmental disabilities and substance use disorders.
