PORT CLINTON, Ohio (AP) — The State Highway Patrol says two men were injured when a driver failed to stop at a northern Ohio railroad crossing and struck a train car.

Troopers said Thursday that a 32-year-old passenger was flown to a Toledo hospital and was in stable condition after the crash in Ottawa County's Erie Township. The 35-year-old Lacarne man driving the car was taken to a Port Clinton hospital with injuries that weren't considered life-threatening.

The crew on the train wasn't hurt, but the crash caused minor damage to the train car.

Troopers say they believe alcohol was a factor in the crash, which is under investigation.
