FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. (AP) — The hospital at Fort Campbell is now offering the influenza vaccine to soldiers, their families and military retirees who use TRICARE starting this week.
Patients assigned to the Blanchfield Army Community Hospital or any of the clinics at the Army installation on the Tennessee-Kentucky state line can get their flu vaccine in both the nasal spray and shot form on a walk-in basis.
Preventive medicine chief Lt. Col. Amy Blank said in a news release they encourage everyone to get vaccinated against the flu annually but that it's especially important for high-risk populations to receive the vaccine now.
Those high-risk populations include young children, caregivers of young children, pregnant women, health care workers and those who are 50 years of age or older.
