TAGGING GREAT WHITE SHARK 'AMAZING MOMENT' - A crew of researchers and fisherman are tagging great white sharks off Cape Cod in a unique way. The real-time satellite tag tracks the shark each time its dorsal fin breaks the surface, plotting its location on an online map.

ROMNEY VIDEO SURFACES FROM FUNDRAISER - Mitt Romney is trying to head off a new distraction for his campaign after a video surfaced showing him telling wealthy donors that 47 percent of all Americans 'believe they are victims' entitled to help from the government that permeates their lives. At a news conference on Monday, Romney offered no apologies, conceding the comments were not 'elegantly stated' and were 'spoken off the cuff.'
CARNEY: PRESIDENTS MUST REPRESENT ALL AMERICANS - White House spokesman Jay Carney says the President is the President of all the people, not just those who voted for him. He was responding to Mitt Romney's comments that 47% of people who will vote for Obama 'believe they are victims.'
CHICAGO TEACHERS STRIKE - Delegates of the Chicago Teachers Union are expected to vote this afternoon on whether to end their strike, possibly returning to classrooms tomorrow. Chicago Public Schools parents, students and teachers delivered a stack of what they said were 1,000 postcards from stakeholders asking CPS leaders to hear their voices.
AUNG SAN SUU KYI - Myanmar's democracy icon and opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi meets with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in Washington, DC. This trip marks the first time Suu Kyi has traveled to the United States since being put under house arrest in 1990.
AFGHAN MISSION - Former U.S. Ambassador to Afghanistan Ryan Crocker speaks on the future of the mission in the aftermath of a number of suicide missions and Taliban attacks on NATO bases.
OBAMA-BIDEN CAMPAIGN - President Obama welcomes WNBA champs the Minnesota Lynx to the White House. He then heads to New York City for campaign events, followed by an appearance on David Letterman. Vice President Joe Biden campaigns in Iowa.
ROMNEY-RYAN CAMPAIGN - Mitt Romney and his wife, Ann, appear on 'Live! With Kelly and Michael'. Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan attends rallies in New Hampshire and Virginia.

CA, GOVERNOR SIGNS WORKERS' COMPENSATION REFORM - Governor Jerry Brown authorized changes to California's $16.2 billion workers' compensation insurance system by signing a bill aimed at increasing benefits to people injured on the job while taming rising insurance costs for businesses.
FL, TAX EXPERT ON ROMNEY'S INCOME TAX CLAIMS - University of Miami Law School Professor Frances Hill analyzes GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney's claim that 47 percent of Americans pay no federal income taxes.
TN, SHAUN WHITE CHARGED WITH PUBLIC INTOXICATION, VANDALISM - Two-time Olympic gold medalist snowboarder Shaun White faces charges of public intoxication and vandalism, accused of drunkenly destroying a phone at a Nashville hotel and ending up in the hospital after he hit his head.

KY, FEMALE BODY ARMOR TESTING - A group of female soldiers from Fort Campbell will be testing out a new prototype of body armor made specifically for the female body when they deploy to Afghanistan later this year.
WA, MAN RETURNS TO U.S. AFTER NICARAGUAN PRISON STINT - Jason Puracal endured two years in a crowded, bug-infested Nicaraguan prison serving a drug sentence that was later withdrawn when he won an appeal. Puracal said the thought of his wife and son got him through the experience.
CA, FAMILY SEARCHES FOR MISSING CALIFORNIA MAN - The family of a retired California man who disappeared from an Amtrak train somewhere between Denver and Chicago last week is searching for him in Nebraska.
WI, VAN HOLLEN TO ASK FOR STAY IN WIS. UNION RULING - Wisconsin Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen says he will ask a judge to put on hold a decision reinstating collective bargaining rights for school and local government workers. (Sept. 17)
NY, SAINTS' VILMA, GOODELL MEET OVER BOUNTY SCANDAL - Facing new accusations that he placed a $10,000 bounty on Brett Favre, Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma met with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell to discuss his actions in the NFL bounty scandal. (Sept. 17)

SYRIA - Anti-government activists in Syria have posted videos showing the aftermath of fierce fighting in the country's restive areas as well as ongoing clashes between rebels and government forces.
IRAN DEPLOYS SUBMARINE IN PERSIAN GULF - Tehran has deployed one of its Russian-made submarines in the Persian Gulf, just days after the United States and more than two dozen allies began naval exercises nearby, Iranian state television reported.
AFGHAN SUICIDE BOMBER - A suicide bomber rammed a car packed with explosives into a mini-bus carrying foreign workers to the airport in Kabul, killing at least 12 people including 8 South Africans. A militant group said that attack was aimed to avenge the anti-Islam film produced in the United States.
ANTI-ISLAM FILM PROTESTS - Demonstrations, many violent, still continue throughout the Middle East. Protests have spread to Indian-controlled Kashmir during a march against the anti-Islam film produced in the United States.
CHINA-JAPAN ISLAND DISPUTE - Dozens of protesters shouted and burnt Japanese emblems outside the Japanese Consulate in Hong Kong. They were joined in protest by around a hundred demonstrators gathered in eastern China's Chengdu city to speak out against Japan's move to take control of a chain of islands which both countries claim.

ROYALS FIGHT BACK ON TOPLESS PICTURES - A French court has ordered publisher Mondadori Magazines France to hand over all digital copies of topless photos of the Duchess of Cambridge within 24 hours and blocked further publication of what it called a 'brutal display' of William and Kate's private moments.

PHOTOKINA EXPO IN GERMANY - Making video on digital SLR cameras and shooting photos on a smartphone are the two major trends at this year's Photokina Imaging Expo. Photokina is one of the world's largest photography trade fairs, taking place in Cologne, Germany.
THE FIGHT AGAINST POLIO IN ANGOLA - The threat of polio has been eradicated from most of the world, but remains endemic in just a handful of countries including Pakistan, Afghanistan and Nigeria. Until recently Angola still had polio cases, but UNICEF and the Red Cross are stepping up immunization campaigns to ensure the disease doesn't return.
AUSTRALIAN NO LONGER TOP EUROPEAN BACKPACKER DESTINATION - Australia used to be a top destination for European backpackers. But now many travelers are deterred by the high prices and Australia's tourism business is suffering as a result.
