ATLANTA (AP) — Atlanta Falcons cornerback Christopher Owens went out in the first quarter with a head injury against the Denver Broncos.
The Falcons said his return to Monday night's game was questionable.
Another cornerback, Asante Samuel, sustained a neck injury in the opening period. But, after a quick trip to the locker room for X-rays, he was able to return.
Atlanta was already short-handed at cornerback after Brent Grimes went down with a season-ending injury in the opener.
