JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (AP) — Just like in the Tom Cruise movie, rain fell in the game's second half and there was a fumbled snap when two western Pennsylvania high schools re-enacted the climactic football game in "All the Right Moves."
But, The Tribune-Democrat (bit.ly/SmYNvw) reports, this time, Ampipe beat Walnut Heights.
Johnstown and Westmont portrayed the fictional teams Friday, with Johnstown winning 20-17. They wore the uniforms of the movie teams in battling it out before some 4,500 spectators at Trojan Stadium.
The movie was filmed in Johnstown in 1983 and many local football players and others associated with the school appeared in it. Cruise portrayed Stefan Djordjevic, an Ampipe player hoping to earn a football scholarship so he could escape the grim mill town.
