HAMILTON, Ohio (AP) — Police say five men who were target shooting in a wooded area have been charged after a bullet smashed through a school window, leading to a lockdown.

Ross Schools officials in southwest Ohio had ordered a lockdown Friday of the high school and the middle school near the administrative building. That's where a bullet came through a window and bounced off a wall late Friday morning. No one was injured.

Police fanned out into the woods and followed sounds of heavy gunfire to find the five men. Police said they were target shooting with assault weapons and handguns on farm property and said they were unaware of the nearby schools.

The Hamilton JournalNews reports (http://bit.ly/PCtEYj ) the men were charged with discharging weapons near a prohibited place and inducing panic.
