Same Good Samaritan helps Ohio man 8 years later

CLEVELAND (AP) — An Ohio man may owe his life to the intervention of a Good Samaritan — the same one who helped him once before, eight years ago.

Gerald Gronowski was broken down by the side of the road east of Cleveland recently when a man named Christopher Manacci stopped to help. Moments after Manacci stopped, a pickup driven by an alleged drunken driver rammed Manacci's car and then skidded past them.

Afterward, Gronowski was talking about another person who had stopped to help him. They then figured out that Manucci was the same man who had stopped to pull an embedded fish hook out of Gronowski's hand, eight years before.

Gronowski told The (Cleveland) Plain Dealer that he feels it's now his job to help someone else.
