Senate vote to override veto of birth control bill

The 26-6 roll call by which the Missouri Senate voted Wednesday to override Gov. Jay Nixon's veto of legislation that expands religious exemptions from insurance coverage for birth control.

On this vote, a "yes" vote was to override the veto and a "no" vote was a vote to sustain the veto.

Voting "yes" were 24 Republicans and 2 Democrats.

Voting "no" was 1 Republican and 5 Democrats.

Not voting was 1 Republican and 1 Democrat.
