APPLE ANNOUNCEMENT - Apple is expected to launch its much talked about iPhone 5 today. The company launched its first smartphone in the series five years ago in a move the revolutionized technology.

NY, WORLD'S TALLEST MOHAWK - Japanese fashion designer Kazuhiro Watanabe is showing off his 3 foot, 8.6 inch 'mohawk', which he has been growing for 15 years. The Guinness World Records 2013 is heralding in its newest edition with Watanabe's unique hair.

MD, RAVENS OWNER MODELL REMEMBERED FONDLY AT FUNERAL - Thousands turned out for the funeral of former Browns and Ravens owner Art Modell, including linebacker Ray Lewis. Modell was one of the NFL's most polarizing owners. Cleveland fans never forgave him for moving his club to Baltimore.

WY, WYOMING FIRE BURNS 24 SQUARE MILES - Wyoming's Casper Mountain fire has destroyed seven homes and burned 24 square miles. The Horsethief fire near Jackson Hole has burned four square miles.

SD, DEADLY STANDOFF IN SOUTH DAKOTA SALON - A man took his two young children from a babysitter's home at gunpoint then apparently killed himself inside a hair salon after officers found an employee shot to death in a car in the salon parking lot.

AK, FISHERMAN RESCUED AFTER NIGHT ADRIFT IN FISH BIN - The Coast Guard rescued 19-year-old fisherman Ryan Harris, after he spent a night adrift off Alaska in a 4x4 fish bin. He got into the plastic bin when his boat sank. A second fisherman was also rescued.

ISRAEL-IRAN RELATIONS - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says peaceful methods against Iran are not working, and he has warned repeatedly that Iran is getting perilously close to acquiring a nuclear weapon.

US TALKS WITH NORTH KOREA - U.S. and South Korea are holding a second round of Korea-US Integrated Defense Dialogue talks with North Korea, with cyber defense among the issues on the agenda.

PAKISTAN FIRES - The death toll from a pair of devastating factory fires that broke out in Pakistan's two biggest cities has risen to more than 300 people.
