MANILA, Utah (AP) — Utah authorities are investigating the death of a Wyoming man who was last seen alive after playing a show in Green River with his band.

The body of 51-year-old Jerry Jorgensen of Rock Springs was found Friday about 100 yards from Utah's Sheep Creek Canal. His pickup truck was spotted a few days earlier parked at the mouth of a canyon about 8 miles outside Manila in Utah's Daggett County.

Investigators say they believe Johnson fell into the canal, then tried to return to his vehicle but succumbed to hypothermia.

Daggett County Sheriff Jerry Jorgensen says the body is being examined by the Utah Medical Examiner, although he says there are no obvious signs of foul play.
