NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The office of Nashville District Attorney General Torry Johnson was evacuated after a suspicious package arrived.

Spokeswoman Susan Niland said the office received a threatening letter on Tuesday and a white powder came out of the envelope.

Law enforcement evacuated the office in downtown Nashville and closed part of a street near the county courthouse at around 3:30 p.m.

Keith Moses, with the FBI's Nashville office, said the package would be taken to a state laboratory for analysis. Results are not expected to be known before Wednesday.
