SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City is hosting a grand reopening ceremony after five-year-long renovation.

Monday's ceremony will be followed by a community leaders' luncheon on Thursday and a movie night on Friday.

Hospital officials say improvements include larger patient rooms and a re-made lobby. Patients also have access to room service, pharmacy deliveries, eye masks for better sleep, and loaner laptops.

Departments that have been expanded include the women's health center, bone marrow clinic and behavioral health unit.

LDS Hospital was built in 1905. Officials say the latest renovations began in 2007, when Intermountain Medical Center opened in Murray and several services moved there, creating more space.
