CHICAGO (AP) — The Indianapolis Colts held receiver Austin Collie out of Sunday's season opener against the Chicago Bears because of a concussion.
One of just two returning receivers along with Reggie Wayne, Collie was injured in the second preseason game and did not return to practice until Monday. He was a limited participant Thursday and Friday and was listed as questionable. The concussion was his third diagnosed since the start of the 2010 season.
The Colts were also missing guard Joe Reitz (knee) and linebacker Pat Angerer (foot).
For the Bears, Pro Bowl linebacker Brian Urlacher and punter Adam Podlesh were active. Urlacher returned to practice this week for the first time since July 31 after being sidelined by an injured left knee, while Podlesh had been bothered by a hip injury.
