LOS ANGELES (AP) — Authorities are still looking for the gunmen who strapped what they claimed was a bomb to a bank manger before robbing a Los Angeles bank.
Authorities say two masked gunmen kidnapped the bank manager from her home Wednesday morning, and after strapping the device to her waist, forced her to order bank employees to "take out all the money" from her Bank America branch when it opened.
The money was thrown to the robbers, who were waiting outside, and authorities say the men drove off.
No one was injured in the heist. A Los Angeles County sheriff's bomb squad disabled the device, which investigators say resembled an explosive but was not.
