CLEVELAND (AP) — A federal judge has scheduled change of plea hearings for three of the four remaining defendants charged with plotting to bomb a highway bridge in Ohio.

A change of plea hearing usually signals a defendant plans to plead guilty. The three had previously entered not guilty pleas.

Mike Tobin, spokesman for the U.S. attorney's office in Cleveland, confirmed the hearings set for Wednesday in Akron for Brandon Baxter, Connor Stevens and Douglas Wright. Tobin would not comment on any possible plea deals.

Baxter's attorney also confirmed the hearings but would not comment. Messages were left for the other defense attorneys.

In July, another defendant pleaded guilty and agreed to testify for prosecutors.

A plea change by the trio would leave only Joshua Stafford, currently undergoing a psychiatric evaluation, facing trial.
