CHICAGO (AP) — Cardinal Francis George says he feels anxious, but good as he prepares to begin chemotherapy in the coming days.

He told the Chicago Sun-Times (http://bit.ly/T6OzVm ) that he's ready for the treatment which is expected to last four months.

George announced last month that cancer had been found in his right kidney and his liver. This is the religious leaders' second bout with cancer. Surgeons removed his bladder, prostate and part of his right ureter six years ago following the discovery that he had bladder cancer.

George is the leader of more than 2 million Roman Catholics in the Chicago area.

He spoke to the newspaper on Saturday before a service at a South Side church. It was a celebratory mass for St. Joseph Parish which observed its 125th anniversary.
