ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) — A man has been ordered to stand trial in the slaying and dismemberment of his ex-girlfriend and her fiance who let him share their suburban Detroit home.
Judge John Courtright ruled Wednesday there is sufficient evidence to charge 39-year-old Roger Bowling with murder in the shooting deaths of 32-year-old Danielle Greenway and 42-year-old Chris Hall.
The bodies of Greenaway and Hall were found July 17 in the Detroit River and an adjoining canal on the city's east side. They were missing heads, arms and legs and their body parts were subsequently found in the river, along with a saw and a suitcase.
Authorities said the killings took place in the couple's home in Allen Park, west of Detroit.
Courtright set Bowling's arraignment for Sept. 5 in Wayne County Circuit Court.
