SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Three new wildfires are burning in Utah.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/LMxxdr) lightning set off one blaze in high-desert grasslands about 20 miles north of the tiny Box Elder County community of Grouse Creek. Another grass fire is burning in that region.

A third new fire has burned about 100 acres on the west slope of the Oquirrh Mountains in Tooele County. Authorities are confirming that fire was started by lightning.

In all, seven wildfires are burning across Utah. The most active wildfire has been burning since June 26 in central Utah's Manti-La Sal National Forest area. The Seeley fire has burned 74 square miles of mostly beetle-killed spruce. Officials say it's 92 percent contained.

The Wolf Den Fire, also started by lightning, has burned 26 square miles near the Colorado border. It is 85 percent contained.
