CHRIS BROWN/DRAKE: CLUB THAT WAS SCENE OF BRAWL TO REOPEN

NEW YORK (AP) — Chris Brown may have gotten a cut chin during the brawl between his people and Drake's entourage last month. But the club where the bottle-throwing fight took place got a black eye from the incident. The Greenhouse club was shut down for what happened in its downstairs lounge W.i.P. And it also lost its state liquor license. But the club is expected to be back in business starting tonight. But there will be some changes. The club will have stepped security. And the club will be serving booze in plastic cups, instead of glass ones.

CHRIS BROWN/DRAKE: LOOKING BACK

NEW YORK (AP) — On June 14, both Chris Brown and Drake were hanging out at the W.i.P. club — in Manhattan. But before long, there was a brawl. New York City police say it happened after some members of Drake's entourage stopped Brown as he was leaving. Bottles were thrown and Brown ended up with a cut on his chin — and others were hurt by broken glass, too. Drake's people have said the rapper was leaving the club when the fight started — and that he didn't hurt anyone. One of those who was hurt was NBA star Tony Parker. He suffered a scratched cornea when his left eye was hit with shards of glass. The injury led to talk that he might not be able to play for France in the upcoming Olympics. But French officials say he's good to go. Parker, meanwhile, is suing the club for $20 million.

MICHAEL BUBLE: TO JOIN COUNTRY STAR ON "THE VOICE"

LOS ANGELES (AP) — All the voice coaches on "The Voice" will be getting advisers again this season. And so far, so good for the first pairing. Michael Buble (boo-BLAY') has teamed up with country star Blake Shelton's team — and will be seen with his contestants when the NBC show comes back on the air in September. NBC hasn't yet named the advisers for the show's three other coaches, CeeLo Green, Christina Aguilera and Adam Levine. Among the advisers last season were Babyface and Kelly Clarkson.

LIONEL BATISTE: ASSISTANT LEADER OF BAND FOR HBO SHOW DIES

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Fans of the HBO series "Treme" (truh-MAY') may not have known his name. But they often saw the work of Lionel Batiste up close on the show. He was the singer, bass drummer and assistant leader of the Treme Brass Band. Batiste has died. He was 81 and died Sunday after being ill for about a month. Batiste was known as "Uncle Lionel" and had been with the band since it was formed in 1995. A Treme band member says Batiste's big drum saved his life during Hurricane Katrina. Clarinet player Michael White says as the flood waters rose, Batiste "saved himself by floating out on top of his bass drum."

PRINCE FIELDER: WINS HOME RUN DERBY

KANSAS CITY, Missouri (AP) — It's no figure of speech to say that Prince Fielder made a splash at the All-Star Home Run Derby. In fact, he made eight of them — blasting eight of his 28 home run balls into the right-field fountain at Kauffman Stadium. Fielder joins Ken Griffey Junior as the only players to win the All-Star Game-eve event twice. And both men had fathers who played in the major leagues. Fielder says just being mentioned in the same breath as Junior "is real special." He says he remembers hanging at Griffey's house when he was a kid. He says his father Cecil would let him go to Griffey's house when he was younger — and that Griffey "always took care of me when I was a kid."

The All-Star Game itself is set for tonight.

BARACK OBAMA: RE-ELECTION CAMPAIGN GAINS PARTIAL WIN IN MARKETING CASE

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama's re-election campaign a partial victory against a web site it said was selling counterfeit T-shirts, bumper stickers and buttons with the campaign's signature "O'' logo. A judge in Washington agreed to bar Washington-based Demstore.com from selling merchandise with the "O'' logo. But the judge held off judgment on whether the web site should also be barred from selling merchandise with a logo that uses the distinctive "O'' as part of the year 2012. Lawyers with Obama's campaign claim the re-election effort is being hurt by Demstore.com's sales. During the last election, the campaign says it made approximately $37 million from sales of merchandise with the "O'' logo.

JESSE JACKSON JUNIOR: PRESSURE GROWS TO DISCLOSE HEALTH ISSUE

CHICAGO (AP) — Pressure is increasing on Congressman Jesse Jackson Junior to say why he has been on leave. He has been on the sidelines for weeks because of what he says is a medical condition. The number-two person in the Senate says Jackson has a responsibility to give the public an update about his situation "soon." Jackson announced he was taking leave last month — but didn't say what was ailing him — or say where he was being treated. Jackson's office first said he was being treated for exhaustion. But last week, staffers said Jackson's condition was more serious than first thought and required treatment at an inpatient medical facility. The statement said Jackson also had been grappling privately with emotional issues for some time.

NAACP FIGHTING VOTER ID LAWS

HOUSTON (AP) — The head of the NAACP is comparing the group's fight against conservative-backed voter ID laws that have been passed in several states to the great civil rights battles of the 1960s. Benjamin Todd Jealous, CEO and president of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, said these are "Selma and Montgomery times," referring to historic Alabama civil rights confrontations. He challenged those attending the NAACP's annual convention to redouble their efforts to get out the vote in November.
