Ill. couple found in rubble of train derailment

NORTHBROOK, Ill. (AP) — A Chicago law firm has identified the victims of a freight train derailment as a couple who live in Glenview, a suburb north of the city.

Mollie Fisher works at the law firm Fisher and LaMonica, and she says the victims were 69-year-old Burton Lindner and 70-year-old Zorine Lindner of Glenview. The Cook County medical examiner's office says it will release the victims' names later Friday.

Burton Lindner was a lawyer with his own practice in Chicago.

Officials initially said there were no injuries in Wednesday's derailment, but workers clearing debris discovered the couple's crushed car Thursday.

The derailment threw 31 rail cars hauling coal off the tracks. Nearly all piled up on a rail bridge, causing it to collapse over a road between the suburbs of Glenview and Northbrook.
