SEATTLE (AP) — Rangers at Mount Rainier National Park in Washington state continue to wait for a break in the weather to recover the body of a colleague.
Nick Hall died while rescuing four injured climbers near the mountain's peak.
A park spokesman says forecasts this morning called for 90 percent chance of snow on the spot where Hall's body came to a rest after a 2,600 feet slide. There was also rain in the forecast for lower elevations of the mountain.
Hall died Thursday after helping four climbers from Texas who fell into a crevasse near the 14,411-foot mountain's peak. Those climbers made it off the mountain.
The park spokesman says it's frustrating waiting for the weather. He says rangers and a helicopter continue to be on standby.
