DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (AP) — A teacher who was suspended from her job last year for a blog in which she called students "disengaged, lazy whiners" has filed a First Amendment lawsuit against the suburban Philadelphia school district.

The Doylestown Intelligencer reports (http://bit.ly/O6jEHB ) Natalie Munroe is suing the Central Bucks School District because she says the superintendent and her principal violated her free-speech rights by "harassing and retaliating against her" over the blog.

She returned to the classroom. But the lawsuit says she has since been subjected to "ridiculous and overly critical evaluations."

Her attorney, Steve Rovner, says the district has notified his client of its plans to fire her. He filed the suit in federal court in Philadelphia on Friday.

The school's attorney declined to comment.
