Heat lead Thunder 59-49 at halftime of Game 5

MIAMI (AP) — LeBron James scored 15 points, Mike Miller was 4 for 4 from 3-point range and the Miami Heat moved closer to a championship by taking a 59-49 halftime lead over the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 5 of the NBA Finals on Thursday night.

The Heat came into the night with a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven series.

Miami made seven 3-pointers in the half and led by as many as 17 at one point. Chris Bosh scored 10 in the half for the Heat.

Kevin Durant scored 14 points and Russell Westbrook added 13 for the Thunder, who shot only 37 percent in the opening two quarters but stayed in relative reach thanks to a 17-for-18 showing from the foul line.
