TROY, Mich. (AP) — Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney is wrapping up a fundraising stop in suburban Detroit with two events that are raising more than $1 million for his campaign.

The Michigan native spoke to supporters at a Troy hotel Wednesday, then traveled to a private home for another event.

Romney's campaign isn't disclosing full financial details but says more than 500 tickets were sold at a minimum of $2,500 each — a total of at least $1 million.

Earlier Wednesday, he raised money in the Grand Rapids area.

Union and Planned Parenthood protesters lined the road outside the Troy Marriott. Signs said Romney was running for president of the 1 percent, a reference to America's wealthy.

Romney made campaign stops Tuesday in Frankenmuth, Holland and DeWitt.
