After a cool and comfortable start this morning, the weather will once again begin to change as we head into the afternoon. A weak warm front will lift northward across central Ohio later today into the evening allowing for the heat and humidity to return. Temperatures today will also be on the rise with highs rebounding back into the middle 80s with some upper 80s across southern Ohio. The good news is that high school football games tonight should be dry. However, muggy weather will return tonight as the humidity climbs. This will keep overnight lows in the upper 60s tonight.
As we head into the holiday weekend the temperatures will continue to climb with highs nearing 90 degrees on Saturday. A weakening cold front will drift into central Ohio Saturday night into Sunday bringing with it widespread showers and thunderstorms by Sunday morning. Some locally heavy rainfall will be possible with some of the storms. The front will get a push just south of central Ohio on Labor Day which will decrease but not completely end the threat for storms. The front will return northward on Tuesday, once again bringing more widespread rain showers. Temperatures most of next week will be near seasonable average, in the lower to middle 80s.

Alerts:  NONE

Inconvenient Weather: The heat and humidity will be on the rise again over the next 24 hours. Temperatures will near 90 degrees to start the holiday weekend. Showers and storms will return to central Ohio by late Saturday night into Sunday with locally heavy rain possible Sunday.
