Reward Offered To Identify Driver Involved In Crash

UPDATED: Tuesday August 26, 2014 11:38 PM

Westerville Police continue to search for the driver of a vehicle possibly involved in a hit and run incident.

The motorcycle crashed on Dempsey Road Friday morning.

Investigators said the driver of a late 1990's model Ford Expedition may have forced the motorcyclist off the roadway sometime after 10:00 a.m.

Police said the motorcycle's rider suffered serious injuries in the accident.

The rider's family is offering a $1,000 reward to anyone who can help police arrest the driver who fled the accident scene.

"Obviously, we support their efforts," said Sergeant Brian Spoon with Westerville Police. "That's what we're working very hard to do right now is to try to identify the other vehicle that may have involvement in this crash and we'd love to talk to that person."

Westerville Police said they are currently investigating a few leads.
