A 12-year-old Columbus girl is recovering from a gunshot wound after her family says she was shot Monday night.
It happened along Hallidon Avenue just off Leonard Avenue on the near east side of Columbus.
The girl's family says she was inside her home when she was shot in the chest.
Family members say the girl had just left the shower and was in her second floor bedroom when a bullet came through the house.
Police tell 10TV the girl was taken to Nationwide Children's Hospital and that she is expected to survive.
Investigators said several people standing outside the house were having some sort of argument when the shots were fired. The house was not the target.
Neighbors say they heard multiple shots fired.
Police tell 10TV they do not have any suspects at this time.
They also have not found any evidence on site but are continuing to investigate.
