Warm and muggy weather will continue as we wrap up the weekend and head into the new week. Skies will be partly cloudy tonight across central Ohio with some patchy fog once again developing after midnight. Temperatures will hold in the middle to upper 60s overnight. Unseasonable hot weather will start the new week with high temperatures Monday and Tuesday near 90 degrees. The humidity will push the heat index into the middle 90s.
Mostly dry weather is expected until Wednesday when a frontal boundary briefly moves into the state. This will bring the threat for showers and thunderstorms midweek with the front lifting back out of the state Thursday and Friday. Temperatures will drop back to average the second half of the week with highs in the lower to middle 80s. The front will move back into the state next weekend bringing a renewed threat for showers and storms.
Patchy fog will once again be possible after midnight tonight. The fog could be dense in spots, mainly in low-lying areas and river valleys. The heat will continue into early next week with high temperatures near 90 degrees and heat index readings in the middle to upper 90s late in the day. The next chance for widespread showers and storms will be on Wednesday.
