K9s Searching For Gas Station Robbery Suspect

UPDATED: Friday August 22, 2014 11:19 AM

Columbus Police are using K9s to search for a gas station robbery suspect.

Officers say a gas station on Sancus Boulevard was robbed shortly before 5:00 a.m. Friday.

The clerk inside told police the suspect walked in and demanded everything from the cash register.

While the suspect was taking the cash, the clerk alerted police.

Officers arrived at the scene less than a minute after the suspect took off on foot. An alert customer at a gas station across the street was able to point officers in the direction that the suspect ran.

No one was injured during the robbery.
