Barrett, a red-shirt freshman, beat out Cardale Jones in fall camp to win the second-team QB job.
Barrett is from Wichita Falls Texas. He's 6'1" and 225 pounds and was rated a top dual threat quarterback.
His high school coaches told 10TV that he was perfect for Urban Meyer's offense.
