Bullets Narrowly Miss Teen During Fight

Columbus Police had one man in custody who fired shots during a fight Sunday.

Around 8:30 p.m. Officers responded to a fight at the Marathon Station located at Refugee and Noe Bixby Road.

There was a large group outside of the gas station fighting. At one point, 24-year-old Deaunte Bell pulled out a handgun and fired two shots through the rear window of a car, narrowly missing the people inside.

Police say one of the teens inside the car was wearing a baseball hat, which was hit by one of the bullets fired by Bell.

Bell was taken into custody and charged with felonious assault.

No one was injured in the fight.
